Al Huda Center welcomes visitors of all backgrounds — individuals, families, students, and groups.
Whether you are curious about Islam, researching for a class, or simply want to see the masjid, we are glad to host you. To make sure someone is available to greet you and answer your questions, we ask that you arrange your visit in advance.

Please Read
Visitation Guidelines
These guidelines help us maintain a respectful environment for worship.
- The masjid may be visited by individuals or groups. We request that an appointment be made before the visit by calling our office at (816) 231-6876.
- All visitors are requested to register their name and the purpose of their visit with the office upon arrival.
- Al Huda Center is a non-smoking building. Smoking inside the Center is not permitted. The use of intoxicants in the Center, or visiting under their influence, is not permitted.
- Visitors are asked to conduct themselves in a manner befitting a place of worship.
- Please dress modestly (see the dress code below). Shoes, slippers, sandals, and boots should be removed when entering the prayer area and placed in the racks provided. You are welcome to keep your socks on.
- Please silence mobile phones inside the Center.
- Visitors are encouraged to ask questions whenever something is not clear. No question is unwelcome.
What to Wear
Dress Code
Visitors are asked to dress modestly as a sign of respect for the place of worship.
Men
Slacks and a nice shirt are recommended.
- Please avoid shorts and sleeveless shirts
- Please avoid tight-fitting clothing
- Shirts should be free of skulls, faces, or explicit phrases
Women
Non-revealing clothing such as long skirts and long-sleeved shirts is recommended. Loose-fitting slacks with a long-sleeved shirt covering the waist are also acceptable.
- Please avoid shorts, sleeveless blouses, tight-fitting tops, and short skirts
- It is respectful to wear a head scarf when visiting the masjid
Inside the Masjid
Masjid Etiquette
This is the house of Allah (SWT) — please help us care for it.
During Prayer
- Please turn off cell phones during prayers
- Please talk softly while waiting for the prayer to begin
- Please remain silent during the Friday khutbah
- Please do not pray in the walkways, as this is a fire hazard
- Please monitor small children closely and keep them beside you before, during, and after prayers. If a child begins to cry, it is fine to pick them up and continue praying
Caring for the Space
- Please keep shoes on the shoe rack
- Please help keep the masjid clean and use its resources (water, paper towels, etc.) as if they were your own — treat it better than your own home
- No smoking inside or outside the masjid
- Please park only in the designated spots
- Distributing or posting flyers without prior approval is not permitted
- No overnight stays without prior approval
- The last person to leave the masjid should turn off the lights and fans
