Mission
Why We Exist
Masjid Al-Huda is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of Muslims — boys and girls ages 5 to 25 — by nurturing strong and unshakable iman, building love for Islam, and instilling pride in their identity, culture, and heritage.
We prepare our youth to serve their masjid, uplift their community, and embody the prophetic guidance that the best of people are those who bring the most benefit to others. Our work is not only about what our young people know, but about who they become: grounded in faith, confident in themselves, and generous with their time and talents.

5–10 Year Horizon
Our Goals
Five commitments that shape how we invest in our youth — and what each already looks like today.
1. Strengthen Iman & Knowledge
A comprehensive Islamic education that builds a strong foundation in Quran, aqeedah, manners, and prophetic character.
Today: Our Weekend Islamic School teaches Qur’an reading, tajweed, and hifz across three levels, alongside Islamic studies. Brothers gather nightly for Subac after Maghrib, and the Umadat Al-Ahkam halaqah runs every Friday between Maghrib and Isha.
2. Build Pride in Muslim Identity
Youth who feel proud, confident, and unapologetically Muslim — at school, at work, and in every space they enter.
Today: Our annual community-wide Qur’an competition brings youth from across Kansas City together, giving them a stage where excellence in their deen is what gets celebrated.
3. Develop Youth Leadership
Programs that prepare youth to become future scholars, community leaders, professionals, and role models for those coming after them.
Today: Weekend School graduates now return as teachers in the same classrooms where they once sat — the clearest proof that this pipeline works.
4. Serve the Masjid & the Ummah
Instilling a lifelong commitment to serving Muslims, the masjid, and the larger community around us.
Today: From welcoming those exploring Islam through our New Muslim Services, to supporting families through bereavement, service is woven into the life of the masjid.
5. Provide Safe, Positive, Halal Spaces
Social and spiritual environments that protect youth from harmful influences and give them somewhere good to belong.
Today: Weekly youth programming on Saturdays, Sunday breakfast gatherings after Fajr, and a masjid that stays open and welcoming every day of the week.
