Funeral services are handled by Mid-America Muslim Cemetery (MAMC). If you need assistance or guidance with the process, please contact Br. Abdimajid using the information below — he will walk you through each step.

Burial Policy
The cemetery is available for the burial of all Muslims. Please review these requirements carefully.
- 24 hours advance notice should be given to arrange preparations for the burial
- A completed application form (available at the ISGKC office or on the ISGKC website) must be submitted to MAMC before the burial is accepted
- If the body is to be washed (ghusl), MAMC should be notified at the time of application. The body should be brought to ISGKC 3–4 hours prior to the designated burial time
- Transportation of the body to ISGKC, and subsequently to the cemetery, is the responsibility of the family or guardian
- Ladies attending the funeral must observe proper Islamic attire while in the Islamic Center and/or at the cemetery
- Graves are maintained in complete uniformity. No additional markings, ornaments, flowers, or candles are permitted and will be removed. The cemetery reserves the right to bill the guardian for the cleanup cost
- Practices contrary to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) will not be permitted

Applications
A completed application form is available at the ISGKC office or on the ISGKC website, and must be submitted to MAMC before the burial is accepted.

Payment
The burial fee is $2,000, covering the burial plot, ghusl, and headstone. Transportation fees are not included.
Accepted: Certified check or money order payable to MAMC, or cash for the applicable amount
